Heatwave situation may persist for next few days in Delhi and 8 other states: Meteorological Department

Most parts of India continue to wreak havoc. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert of heatwave due to heat stroke and temperature increase in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and other states. However, the news of relief is that rain is estimated in many states in the coming days, causing some temperature to drop.

Heatwave alert in Delhi and 8 other states
According to the Meteorological Department, the situation of heatwave may persist for the next few days in Delhi and 8 other states. These include Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh and Delhi. The situation of heat stroke will remain in these states till 10 April.

Yellow alert in Mumbai and neighboring districts
The outbreak of heat continues in Mumbai and its neighboring districts Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg. IMD has issued a yellow alert in these areas with humidity and heat till 10 April. Doctors have advised citizens to take the necessary precaution to avoid problems like heatstroke, muscle cramps and rashes.

Possibility of rain in Delhi
The news of relief for Delhiites is that there is a possibility of light rain after 48 hours. Meteorological Scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar said that there may be rain in Delhi-NCR by April 11, which can provide some relief in temperature. The effect of heat will continue in other areas of north-west India as well, but after April 10, there is a possibility of rain.

Rainfall in South and Northeast India
When the temperature is rising in North India, rain has started in South and Northeast India. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rains may occur in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and Northeast states till April 12. Strong winds are also likely to move in these areas. Apart from this, light rain and hailstorm have been estimated in Bihar today.

Rain and yellow alert in Odisha
There is a possibility of rain in various districts of Odisha, and Yellow alert has also been released for this. Districts like Raigad, Koraput, Mayurbhanj and Kalahandi may receive heavy rains. In this season everyone needs to be special vigilance, especially to avoid heat and humidity.
