Delhi (Delhi) Government has given another blow to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). The last AAP administration has canceled the nominated appointments of at least 194+ leaders (190+ leaders) made by the administration in various government departments, boards, committees and academies. The service department has issued an order regarding this.
The order issued on 4 April said that nominations of at least 22 institutions have been canceled. These include Delhi Jal Board, Animal Welfare Board, Delhi Haj Samiti, Pilgrimage Development Committee, Urs Samiti, Hindi Academy, Urdu Academy, Sahitya Kala Parishad, Punjabi Academy and Sanskrit Academy etc.
A senior government official said that most of these appointments were political – which are often reversed after changing the government. The official said, “People who occupy these positions- both elected MLAs and subject experts- help the new government to implement the approach and policies of the upcoming administration.
All previous governments appointed people in these boards and institutions according to their choice. Some of these posts are for subject experts such as in the case of Animal Welfare Board or Tree Authority, but many posts are for politicians. For example, DJB’s VC and DAMB Chairman MLA.
Once a government withdraws from power, many of these appointments also become meaningless. ” The dismissed appointments include the current and former MLAs, and the order has asked the concerned departments to submit new proposals for restructuring these bodies.
The order issued by Deputy Secretary (Services) Bhairav Dutt on April 4 stated, “The tenure of the competent non-governmental officers and the members of non-committee and statutory bodies, authorities, boards, committees and academies is being eliminated with immediate effect. In addition, all the departments of GNCTD are being abolished, in addition, all departments of GNCTD are being abolished by their administrative control Instructions are given to do. “
