Central employees can now take an additional 42 -day additional leave (Special Casual Leave). However, the condition has been added for these holidays. These holidays will be given to those employees who will donate their organ. During this time there will be no cut in the salary of the employees. That is, they will also get holidays and also salary of the same days. The government has also told about these rules related to 42 -day holidays in Parliament.
Recently, in response to a question in the Lok Sabha, information was given about these holidays. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that the government has made a special casual leave for central employees. This rule will apply to all government employees. He said that the Government of India has decided to give a maximum of 42 days special casual leave to its employees.
Order came in 2023
The order came in the year 2023 about these holidays. This order was issued by Personnel Ministry. According to this order, the employee who donates the organ can get a holiday of up to 42 days. However, this holiday will not depend on what the operation was.
In any case, there will be no leave of more than 42 days. Whether the operation is small or big. At the same time, a doctor’s approval is necessary for these holidays. That is, there will be no leave without approval of the doctor. These holidays will start from the day of hospitalization.
Time can be extended
According to the government rules, the holiday time can be increased, but in any case there will be no more than 42 days holidays. If the doctor approves a 7 -day holiday for a surgery and later he feels that the patient needs more holidays then he can increase the holidays. However, the doctor will have to give in writing for this.
At the same time, the holidays will be implemented from the day on which the person who donates the organ will be admitted to the hospital. But some relief has also been given here. If the doctor feels that it is necessary to recruit a few days before the surgery of that person for organ donation, then in such a case, the holiday can be available a maximum of a week before the surgery.
