Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) spinner Digvesh Rathi remains a topic of discussion in IPL 2025 as well as notebook celebrations. Rathi has suffered a fine due to the way of celebrating twice but he is still not improving. He did not spare his idol Sunil Naren on Tuesday. He also celebrated a notebook against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). However, Rathi celebrated in a new style this time, which is becoming increasingly viral. He ended Naren’s innings at 30 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Rathi is a big fan of West Indies Dhakad spin all -rounder Naren.
Chasing a target of 239 runs, KKR made a fast start. Naren Quinton Dickock (15 in 9 balls) added 37 runs for the first wicket. Dickock was dismissed by Akashdeep in the third over. Subsequently, Naren took the front with captain Ajinkya Rahane (61 in 35 balls) and continued to fade in Powerplay. In such a situation, LSG Captain Rishabh Pant hit 25 -year -old Rathi in the seventh over. He scored the second ball of the over outside the off stump, on which Naren fired aerial towards the long off. David Miller caught Naren’s easy catch. He hit four fours and two sixes after facing 13 balls.
As soon as Rathi dismissed Naren, he sat on the ground. He gestured to write something after sitting. There are a lot of reactions of cricket fans on Rathi’s new celebration style. A user questioned with a laughing emoji, “Can Digvesh be fined match fees for this or not?” The other commented, “This is a new innovation. He can avoid fine and demerit points in this way.” The third said, “Now a new notebook celebration has been seen.” The other said, “Rathi has taken wickets to her idol, what a big deal.”
Please tell that Rathi had to face a fine due to the way of celebrating against Punjab Kings and Mumbai. He had a physical contact with Punjab batsman Priyansh Arya. Rathi currently has three demerit points in his account. If Rathi gets another demerit point, he will be banned for a match.
