The seventh edition of Nutrition Fortnight 2025 started from today under the nutrition campaign launched by the Government of India to make nutrition a mass movement. On this occasion, District Collector Smt Tulika Prajapati inaugurated the Nutrition Fortnight 2025 at Anganwadi Center Manding Peeding Dhenu and Katgatola in the district and interacted with the beneficiaries present. The Collector advised the pregnant women Mrs. Likeshwari Mandavi, Mrs Amrita Kovachi, Mrs. Uttara Yadav and Mrs. Lalesh Mandavi to perform a balanced diet, conduct regular checks and adopt hygiene.
During the program, innocent girls and children of Anganwadi centers mesmerized the collector with their sweet poems and patriotic songs. Little children made the atmosphere joy not only by reciting cute poems like patriotism and khalo son peanuts. Rather it was also shown that along with education in Anganwadi centers, rites are also being communicated. The collector appreciated the talent of the children and said that the heart was pleased to see the art of patriotism and expression among young children.
The Collector interacted with pregnant women and other beneficiaries regarding Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Maternity Vandana Yojana and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana. He said that the purpose of financial assistance provided under these schemes is to ensure balanced diet, health checkup and proper care during pregnancy. He inspired women to use the amount received, healthy food, essential nutrients and regular health check -ups so that both mother and baby are healthy.
Nutrition Pakhwada 2025 aims to empower maternal and child health through technology and tradition. This fortnight is being observed from 8 April to 22 April 2025, which focuses on the first 1,000 days of the child’s life. This time is extremely important for the overall development of the child.
Collector Smt Tulika Prajapati said in her address that every child should get a healthy start to every mother and every family should get a balanced diet. Nutrition Fortnight is a meaningful initiative in this direction, which strengthens the fight against malnutrition with public awareness and participation. Women and Child Development Officer Chandrashekhar Mishra, District Nutrition Coordinator AIIMS, Supervisors, Local Public Representatives, Anganwadi workers and a large number of rural women were present in the program.
