PM Modi used a highly powerful helicopter of the Indian Air Force for his visit to Anuradhapuram in Sri Lanka. This is the second time in a decade when the Indian Prime Minister used the Indian Air Force helicopter for traveling inside Sri Lanka.

It is being told that this decision was taken for PM Modi for security reasons in Sri Lanka, once a stronghold of Tamil rebel faction LTTE. Not only this, there have been many terrorist attacks inside Sri Lanka in the last few years. In view of this danger, the Indian Air Force helicopter was used for PM Modi. Senior journalist Yashi Celly revealed in his report that this decision was taken to use the Indian helicopter for security reasons. A source said, “It is not unusual in using its army helicopter or aircraft for a state who is not considered safe in places that are not considered safe.” For this, air clearance is taken long ago. He said that the Indian Prime Minister must have already taken approval for this helicopter of the Indian Prime Minister.

There have been many such incidents with the heads of heads in recent years worldwide. It is believed that this is why the Indian Air Force helicopter was used to save PM Modi from any danger. The last year, on May 19, a helicopter of Iranian Air Force crashed near the border of Azerbaijan and Iran’s then President Ibrahim RaiC died. The source said, “Although the situation has improved in Sri Lanka, we cannot take a threat.” It is believed that his reference was towards Sri Lanka’s Civil War in which thousands of people were killed.

The Tamil violent movement ended after the death of LTTE leader Prabhakaran. Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi was killed in the LTTE suicide attack. Earlier in 2015, when PM Modi went on a visit to Anuradhapuram, Jaffna and Talimanar in Sri Lanka, he used the Indian Air Force helicopter. In view of PM Modi’s visit, the Sri Lankan government had declared the Air Force Base of Anuradhapuram as an international airport on Sunday for some time so that the Indian Prime Minister could easily leave here. PM Modi arrived at this airport with his special landrower car, which was especially transported to Sri Lanka. The entire security was handed over to the SPG commandos. This powerful car can withstand all kinds of attacks.
