For the first time in the history of Chhattisgarh High Court, a Justice has heard a case virtually. The period of virtual hearing started during the Koena period. But then the petitioner and advocates of the major parties were allowed to join the virtual. He used to join virtual and advocate his matters. At the same time, the judges used to sit in the High Court and hear.
Actually, the mother of the High Court Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha’s mother is ill, so he has taken him to Lucknow for treatment for the past few days. Despite the mother’s illness and family responsibilities, he performed his duty with full vigor. Chief Justice Ramesh Sinha decided to hear the cases engaged in the division bench and single bench in view of the increasing number of cases cases and the problems of the petitioners, and heard the hearing directly from Lucknow.
The Chief Justice had directed the Registrar General to list the cases of his division bench and single bench. They will listen to virtual from Lucknow and hear. Therefore, the first division bench in Chhattisgarh High Court started at its appointed time and the hearing started.
The Division Bench of the High Court had Justice Arvind Verma and a lawyer of the petitioner and prominent parties. Here the Chief Justice started the hearing by joining the virtual on time. Justice Verma was telling about the matters and was discussing with them directly. The hearing was held in the Division Bench by the scheduled time. After lunch, the Chief Justice heard in a single bench.
