The Madhya Pradesh government is very serious about environmental protection and green development in the state, so the government has made a provision of Rs 750 crore and has made efforts to promote electric vehicles under this five -year plan, as well as five cities of the state Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain will be developed as EV model cities.
The Urban Development and Housing Department has decided to implement the Chief Minister’s Urban Development Scheme for the Green Place Development and Aesthetic Environment in the urban area of the state. In this scheme of five years, a provision of Rs 750 crore has been made for the year 2028-29. The scheme will operate by the state government with its financial resources.
City forests will develop in the state
According to the scheme, financial assistance of Rs 2 crore 50 lakh will be provided by the department for the development of each city forest. Under the scheme, the minimum area of Rs 10 lakh per acre will be given to the urban bodies for the creation of the city forest. Instructions have been given to send proposals to the urban bodies in relation to the scheme as per the prescribed provision.
Mukhyamantri public participation construction scheme will be benefited
For the convenience of citizens with public participation in urban areas, it has also been decided to run “Chief Minister Public Promotion Building” scheme for development development. The scheme has been provided Rs 750 crore for Rs 50 crore per year at Rs 150 crore per year. The scheme will be given Rs 5 crore for municipal corporations, Rs 5 crore for municipal corporations, Rs 1 crore and Rs 25 lakh to the city councils. The ratio will be equally 50-50 percent. In the plan, the proper arrangement of waste disposal will be given in the mohallas of the urban area, the proper arrangement of waste will be given by the year 2028-29.
Government vehicles will turn into electric vehicles
The government has planned to give more encouragement to electric vehicles towards keeping the environment of the state pure and under the scheme, the Urban Development and Housing Department has made a program to convert government vehicles to 80 percent of electric vehicles. In this sequence, Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain will be developed as EV Model City.
Charging station will be held every 20 km
Under the scheme, every 20 km for electric vehicles in the state. But 100 km on the charging station and highway. But the work of setting up fast charging facility has been started. In the EV policy of Madhya Pradesh, a provision of subsidy has also been made on opening public charging stations.
552 urban bus will run in the state
Apart from this, work is being done on the operation of 552 urban buses in 6 cities Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Sagar and Ujjain under the Prime Minister’s E-Bas Seva Scheme. The Ministry of Urban Affairs of the Central Government has also approved the proposal of bus depots, updates of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Sagar.
