Initially, only reserved categories were included in this scheme, but later the families (EWS) coming below the poverty line were also included in it. Christian girls were also included in the scheme in 2004. 5100 rupees were given in 1997. Then in the year 2004 it was increased to Rs 6100.
Initially the annual income limit was Rs 16,000
In 2006, this omen was increased from Rs 6100 to Rs 15,000. In 2017, this amount was increased to Rs 21,000. On July 1, 2021, it was increased from 21,000 to 51,000 rupees. The annual income limit was Rs 16,000 at the introduction of the scheme. In 2011-12, this limit was increased to Rs 30,000 annually. Currently this income limit has been reduced to 32,790 years.
