On Sunday, the overload truck overturned in the Kenda Valley near Kariyam village on Pendra-Bilaspur main road caused a long jam. The paddy -laden truck overturned uncontrollably, which completely disrupted the movement of vehicles from both sides. Due to the incident, many small and big vehicles were stuck in a jam on the highway. People passing through the route are facing problems.
The accidents happening in the Kenda Valley are now becoming a matter of concern. Local people say that accidents have become common due to the movement of overload and high speed vehicles in the valley. At the same time, roads have become dilapidated due to the ongoing construction work on Bilaspur-Jabalpur National Highway. There are big pits in many places, which increases the possibility of accidents even more. Police and administrative team, who reached the spot, have started efforts to smooth traffic. The work of removing the overturned truck and normalizing traffic is going on. It is being told that the truck engaged in the work of custom milling is overturned.
It is being told that in addition to the paddy truck in Kenda Ghat, vehicles are stuck in two more places due to some reason, due to which there is a long jam. Although the small car is going out in some way, but the big vehicles are facing problems.
Efforts to restore traffic continue
Explain that passengers use this route to go towards North India via Durg-Raipur-Bilaspur. Not only this, a large number of passengers also use this route to go from Amarkantak to Jabalpur. In such a situation, the local people have demanded strict action on road reform and overloading in the valley area at the earliest.
