It has been built on platform number 6 of Bhopal station. Bhopal MP Alok Sharma has launched it. Apart from the IRCTC website, it can also be done manually, PNR will be compulsory for this. Multi bed pod (ladies, 18 beds): 3 hours- 200, 6 hours- 350, 12 hours- 700, 24 hours- 900, 48 hours- 1800
What is Pod Hotel? The Pod Hotel, also known as the Capsule Hotel, is a unique concept inspired by Japan. In this, passengers are facilitated in small capsules units, which provide high class facilities in less space. This facility is being started in view of the increasing number of passengers at Bhopal railway station, whose plan started on 20 October 2019 and is getting available to passengers after about 6 years.
Apart from the website of IRCTC, it can also be done manually, PNR will be mandatory for this.
Country’s second pod hotel
This will be the second major pod hotel after Mumbai Central in the country. This pod hotel will be beneficial for passengers who want comfortable stoppage at low cost. 3- Bed and Pillow: Pods have comfortable beds and pillows.
4- Toilet (male and female separate): Keeping in mind cleanliness, different toilet facilities have been provided for men and women.
5- Geyser for hot water: Geysers have been installed for the convenience of passengers in cold weather.
6- Locker and luggage room: Locker and luggage room facilities are facilitated to protect the passengers’ goods.
7- Charging Point: Charging points are available in each pod to charge mobile and other electronic equipment.

The state’s first pod hotel has been fully prepared for comfortable stoppage of passengers at Bhopal railway station. According to railway officials, it is expected to be inaugurated on 3 or 4 April. On this occasion, GM of Railways Shobhana Bandopadhyay, DRM Devashish Tripathi and many public representatives will be present.
