The bodies of 8 villagers, who were victims of the accident during the cleaning of the well for the immersion of Gangaur Mata in Kondavad village of Khandwa district, reached the village from the district hospital at around 8:30 am on Friday.

As soon as the ambulance convoy reached, the village shouted and every eye became moist. Eight economies were found simultaneously in the village. More than two thousand people participated in it. For the first time at the crematorium in Kundawat village, the last rites of eight dead bodies were held in the morning.
The atmosphere became turbid as soon as eight articles were on fire by family members. Since Thursday afternoon, the stove has not burnt in most of the houses in the village.

Eight people came down to clean the well
Please tell that eight villagers who came out to clean the well were killed on Thursday evening. As part of the preparation of Gangaur immersion, eight villagers came down to clean the well. Due to poisonous gas in the well, they all got stuck in the well and all died. All eight bodies were removed in the rescue operation, which lasted for about four hours. Police, administration and SDRF teams carried out the rescue operation with the help of villagers.

In the afternoon, four people of the village started cleaning the well for Gangaur festival. These people, trapped between the huge amount of silt and swamp in the well, could not get out till evening. To save them, four other youths also landed in the well, they also got trapped in the well. The villagers first began attempts to rescue at their level. Later the administration was informed.

15 -member team of SDRF performed rescue operation
The 15 -member team of SDRF, who reached the spot, started the rescue operation with the help of ropes and nets. Officials said that there is a possibility of poisonous gas due to the deposition of dirty water in the well, due to which the youth would have died of suffocation.

Among the dead are Mohan father Mansaram Patel (50), Vasudev Asharam Patel (45), Gajanand father Gopal Patel (40), Anil father Atmaram (35), Rakesh father Hariram (26), Ajay father Mohan Patel (30), Saran father Sukhram Patel (40), Arjun father Govind Patel (35).

CM announces financial assistance of Rs 4-4 lakh
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has expressed grief over the accident. While sharing the post on the social media account x, he wrote that in an unfortunate incident in Kondawat village of Chhagaonmakhan area of ​​Khandwa, 8 persons have received tragic news of time. On receiving information about the incident, the team of police, administration, home guards and SDERF conducted a joint rescue operation on the spot.
