Dr. Sanwar Patel said – Wakf Amendment Bill will bring transparency in the functioning of Waqf Board

BJP State Spokesperson and Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board, Dr. Sanwar Patel said on Thursday that everyone should welcome the Wakf Amendment Bill submitted by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Neither Muslims of India are opposing this bill nor the rest of the people are doing it. Everyone is welcoming it. It is being opposed by political parties like Congress and SP, who are not friendly to Muslims, but want to use them like a vote bank.

This bill is also opposed by such people who are earning big mafia under the guise of Waqf Board. These people are conspiring to incite the people of the country. The Waqf Amendment Bill has been introduced after taking suggestions from two crore people across the country including Madhya Pradesh. Online suggestions have also been taken.

This bill will work as an Antyodaya for the poor-women and needy of Muslim society along with removing the discrepancies of Waqf law. Dr. Sanwar Patel said that this bill has been brought to the real entitlements of the assets of the Waqf Board to get their rights. The Waqf Amendment Bill will bring transparency in the functioning of the Waqf Board and the income of the Waqf Board will also increase. This amendment bill is in favor of the brotherhood of the country and the interest of Muslim society and the needy people of Muslim society.

Every section of Muslims will be empowered

State President of Waqf Board, Dr. Sanwar Patel said that the Congress party had brought the Waqf Act in 1995 and the Congress government amended it at the time before the election in 2013. The Congress party, which considered Muslims as a vote bank, was not worried about the good of Muslim society nor was there any concern for transparency in the functioning of the Waqf Board.

The Modi government has brought the Waqf Amendment Bill for the interests of Muslim society. Dr. Patel said that there are many societies like Bohra, Khani, Pasmanda among Muslims, but they did not get any representation in the Waqf Board. These are parts of Muslim society which had no representation in the present Waqf Act. These societies had demanded many times to be given representation in the board.

Dr. Patel said that with the Waqf Amendment Bill brought by the Modi government, these sections as well as women will be able to get representation in the Waqf Board. This will empower all classes including women. He said that after the proposed amendments, the Waqf Board is estimated to have an income of about 12000 crores and this money will be useful for Muslim society.

He said that Madhya Pradesh currently has 15008 Waqf properties. The lease rule was implemented in the year 2020. If seen according to the lease rules, then there should be an income of 100 crores per year from Waqf properties in Madhya Pradesh, but due to the discrepancies of the law and illegal occupation of Congress leaders, only two crore are earning from Waqf properties. After amending the law, the income of the Waqf Board will increase, which will be used in the education, health and employment of children of poor Muslims.

Congress does politics of lies, confusion and protest

BJP State Spokesperson and Waqf Board President Dr. Sarwar Patel said that it is the responsibility of the opposition to give positive suggestions, do not oppose everything. But the Congress has always run away from discussions and does politics of protest. The Congress Party did not join the special sessions held in Parliament in relation to Article-370, Triple Divorce and GST.

The Congress’s opposition to the new Parliament House, Central Vista for politics was such a step. The Congress caused confusion about the CAA that this would take away the citizenship of Muslims. The Congress party should tell how many Muslims have been taken away in the last five years? If this was not true, then why an atmosphere of fear and confusion was created in the country, why Shaheen Bagh was done and why the general public was harassed by making a check on the streets and stopping the rails?

Congress opposing Sachar Committee’s recommendations

BJP State Spokesperson and Waqf Board President Dr. Sarwar Patel said that the Congress government had formed the Sachar Committee in the year 2005 to remove the backwardness of Muslims, which submitted its report in the year 2006. But the Congress government remained sitting on this report for the year 2014 i.e. about 8 years, because its purpose was never the welfare of the Muslims.

According to the proposed Waqf Amendment Bill, the Waqf Board and the Waqf Tribunal will work according to the recommendations of the Sachar Committee. This makes it clear that the Congress party has started opposing the recommendations of that Sachar Committee, which was formed by its government. State Office Minister Dr. Raghavendra Sharma, State President of Minority Front M Ejaz Khan, State Spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi, Ajay Singh Yadav and panelist Shivam Shukla were present on the occasion.
