Mahasamund

399 families from the forest village of Baranwapara Sanctuary were settled by the government in Ramsagar Para (Bhava), Srirampur and Latadadar in Mahasamund district ten years ago. But till date, due to non -declaration of these villages as revenue villages, hundreds of families are not getting the benefit of government schemes, due to which the distressed rural offices are forced to go round.

In the year 2013, 168 families were settled out of 399 families in the forests of Baranwapara Sanctuary in village Ramsagarpara, dependent in the village Ramsagarpara of Gram Panchayat Bhava in Mahasamund district. At that time, every family was given a house in 12 decimals, along with 5-5 acres of land was given to each family for living for livelihood.

The then Chief Minister of that time had talked about making it a revenue village and providing all the basic facilities, but even after more than ten years, this village was neither declared revenue village, nor the land of these families was online, due to which these villagers are being denied many important schemes of the government.

The children of these families are neither able to become caste certificate nor residence certificate. These people are not getting the loan from Kisan Credit Card, Old Age Pension, MNREGA job card, Kisan Samman Nidhi, loan from the bank. Troubled villagers are traveling around the office of top officials to demand the declaration of revenue village.

In this whole matter, Collector Vinay Kumar Langeh says that every effort will be made to declare revenue village as soon as possible. After the assurance of the collector, the problems of the families of the victims are expected to go away soon.
