Sources said that when the Pakistani Army tried to infiltrate in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army retaliated, killing 4-5 intruders. The army said that an attempt has been made to infiltrate the Krishna Valley area of ​​Poonch district.
The Indian Army said that there is no loss of life and property from our side. The firing continued intermittently throughout the day and the Indian Army is completely in alert mode in the Krishna Valley region. According to the information, the Pakistani side has suffered heavy losses.
This is the first time in recent months that the army has confirmed the ceasefire violation by Pakistan. In early February this year, similar cross-firing incidents came to light in the Krishna Valley sector. A defense spokesperson said, “On April 1, there was a mine blast in the Krishna Valley sector due to infiltration of the Pakistani Army across the LoC. This was followed by firing without provocation by the Pakistani army and violating the ceasefire. Our soldiers responded effectively in a controlled and balanced manner. The situation is under control and it is being strictly monitored.
