At the Mahakumbh Mela, the director Sanoj Mishra, who offered the work offer in the film, has been arrested by the Delhi Police in a rape case. After the bail was rejected from the Delhi High Court, the Nabi Karim police station arrested him from Ghaziabad in UP on Sunday.
Sanoj is alleged to have physically abused a young woman from Jhansi for four years, forcibly aborted and threatened her for four years.
According to the victim, she met Sanoj Mishra in 2020 via tickets and Instagram. At that time she lived in Jhansi. After the conversation, on 17 June 2021, Sanoj called him to Jhansi railway station. He threatened to commit suicide on refusal to meet. The next day, on 18 June 2021, threatened and called him and took him to a resort and raped her by feeding drugs.
The victim says that Sanoj made her objectionable pictures and videos and threatened to make her public.
According to FIR, Sanoj made physical relations with her at different places several times by pretending to be married. He took him to Mumbai by luring work in films, where both lived in live-in. Exploitation and assault continued there too.
The victim alleges that Sanoj miscarried her thrice. In February 2025, Sanoj left him and threatened that his pictures and videos would make him viral on complaining.
DCP Central said that on 6 March 2024, on the complaint of a 28 -year -old victim, an FIR was lodged under the police station Nabi Karim under sections of rape, assault, abortion and threats.
The victim said in the allegations that on 18 February 2025, Sanoj took her to Nabi Karim’s Hotel Shiva and made physical relations, but later retracted from marriage. He also confirmed the allegations in his statement under Section 164 of the CRPC. In the investigation, medical documents of abortion were collected from Muzaffarnagar.
The police arrested 45 -year -old Sanoj Mishra on the basis of intelligence and technical surveillance. He is married and lives with family in Mumbai.
