Pakistani army bombed women and children in drone attacks carried out at a hideout of terrorists

12 terrorists have been killed in a drone attacks carried out by Pakistani security forces on a hideout of terrorists in the country’s turbulent Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. At the same time, many common citizens have also been killed in this attack. The provincial government said in a press release that the terrorists’ bases were targeted on Saturday morning in the remote mountainous region of Katlang in Mardan district as part of the ‘campaign against terrorism’.

The government confirmed the casualties of ordinary citizens in these attacks and indicated that women and children could also be involved. The official report stated that 12 terrorists were killed during the operation. The press release issued said that the campaign was run after receiving intelligence information about the terrorists. It said that many terrorists associated with the ongoing terrorist activities in the area were killed during this campaign. The press release said, “Unfortunately, the latter report confirmed that the area which was targeted, there were common citizens including women and children, resulting in common citizens casualties.”

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur said that the death of ordinary citizens during the campaign is extremely condemnable and tragic. The government said that it is providing medical assistance to the injured and providing relief and compensation to the families of the victims. The press release said that a thorough investigation will be done regarding the death of common citizens during the campaign. Information Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Mohammad Ali Saif also expressed deep grief over the death of innocent people during the campaign.
