Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has greeted the people of New Year Vikram Samvat 2082 and Gudi Padwa. From today onwards, Hindu New Year i.e. Nav Samvatsar 2082 started. On the day of Gudi Padwa, the Hindu new Samvatsar is considered. Shukla Pratipada of Chaitra month is also called Gudi Padwa or Year Pratipada. On this day, Hindu New Year Vikram Samvat begins. The beginning of Vikram Samvat is 57 BC Happened in. On the day of this Pratipada, 2081 years ago, Ujjayini Naresh Maharaj Vikramaditya protected Bharat-Bhoota from foreign unscrupulous Shakas and started calculating the call from this day.

Shalivahana doubt starts from this day
Dr. Mohan Yadav said- The obliged nation also called the same Maharaj as Vikrami Samvat. Vikram Samvat is called our National Samvat. It is completely pure and scientific. It is also a symbol of maintenance of our identity and freedom and victory over enemies. According to this Samvat, all our religious rituals, Teej festivals like – Holi, Diwali, Dussehra etc. are celebrated. Marathi king Shalivahana defeated the enemies (suspicion) effective from the army of earthen soldiers. Shalivahana doubt as a symbol of this victory begins from this day.

On this day Brahma created the universe
‘Yugadi’ is made from the treaty of the words ‘Yuga’ and ‘Adi’. In Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, ‘Ugadi’ and in Maharashtra this festival is celebrated as ‘Gudhi Padwa’ i.e. Marathi New Year. Chaitra Navratri begins on this day. It is said that Brahma built the universe on this day. It is believed that on this day Lord Shri Ram liberated the people of the South from the tyrannical rule of Vanararaj Bali. The subjects, who were freed from the tragedy of Bali, hoisted the flag (blessings) by celebrating from house to house.

‘Pachadi/Prasadam’ is distributed as a pilgrimage in homes in Andhra Pradesh
Even today, the practice of erecting Gudi in the courtyard of the house is prevalent in Maharashtra. That is why this day was named Gudipadwa. That is why it is also called Marathi New Year. On this occasion, ‘Pachadi/Prasadam’ is divided in homes in Andhra Pradesh as a pilgrimage. It is said that the human remains healthy by consuming it uninterrupted. Puran poli or sweet bread is made in Maharashtra. The things that are added to it are jaggery, salt, neem flowers, tamarind and raw mangoes.
