Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has said that the Constitution Chowk built in Sagar will also inspire other districts to make Constitution Chowk. He said that a constitution -like Constitution Chowk will be built in Indore too. Minister Vijayvargiya was addressing the inauguration ceremony of Constitution Chowk in Sagar on Friday. The Sagar Municipal Corporation has built the Constitution Chowk, beautifying the intersection at Ambedkar Park in the city. MLA Shailendra Jain, Mayor Mrs. Sangeeta Tiwari were also present in the program.
Minister Vijayvargiya said that memorials are being prepared by the Central Government and the State Government at places related to the site of Baba Saheb Ambedkar. He said that where Dr. Ambedkar took education in Nagpur, a huge memorial is being constructed with an amount of Rs 500 crore. The Urban Development Minister said that former Prime Minister Late. On the insistence of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Dr. Ambedkar was awarded the country’s highest honor Bharat Ratna. He informed that a grand monument has also been prepared in Mhow, the birthplace of Babasaheb. Minister Vijayvargiya also approved 50 lakhs for installation of immortal martyr Veerangana Jhalkari Bai and for beautification of Lakha Banjara Chhoti Lake of Sagar. Along with this, an amount of Rs 50 lakh was sanctioned for the e-read room in Sagar.
Inauguration of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Complex
Urban Development Minister Vijayvargiya inaugurated the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Complex built in Katra ward of Sagar. In the main commercial area Katra Bazar, Municipal Corporation Sagar has constructed a huge shopping complex with an amount of Rs 20 crore 35 lakh. 148 shops have been built in the 4 -storey shopping complex built in the city. Vehicle parking has been arranged in the double basement of complex.
