Bhopal Development Authority has been made the nodal agency of Bhopal Metropolitan Region to develop Bhopal on the lines of Greater Capital. This Jima of IDA has also been assigned in Indore. Bhopal Metropolitan Region includes Bhopal, Vidisha, Sehore, Raisen, Narmadapuram and Rajgarh.
According to Principal Secretary Urban Housing and Development Sanjay Shukla, BDA will decide the consultant and make upcoming planning. This will proceed after approval of high officials.
This is how work will be done
● Sehore-Bhopal will be planned and pond and catchment will be done.
● Mandideep Industrial Area will be connected to Bhopal.
● Work on the global heritage near Bhopal in other districts will be fixed on Sanchi, Bhimbathka and others from Bhopal.
● Metro network will also open the way to increase the nearby areas.
Metropolitan sector will be formed in MP in MP, 6 divisions will be developed
The exercise has started to create two metropolitan areas for the systematic development of cities along with promoting industrial development and investors in Madhya Pradesh. The first Metropolitan region will be developed by mixing Indore-Ujjain-Dewas and Dhar and the second Metropolitan region Bhopal-Sehore, Raisen-Vidisha-Biaora (Rajgarh).
According to the vision of the Center, the state’s major division headquarters Gwalior, Sagar, Rewa, Jabalpur, Narmadapuram and Shahdol are preparing to develop as Regional Economic Growth Hub. This effort of the government is being made to strengthen the economy as well as to promote new opportunities for employment, trade and investment.
Facilities will improve
Under the information, 100 percent area of Indore will be included in Indore Metropolitan City, while 44 percent of Ujjain and some part of Nagda will also be added to it. The main objective of this project is to pursue industrial and urban development in an organized manner, which can improve the infrastructure and attract investors.
Surat will change 5 districts, know how 80 lakhs will benefit from Mega Road Project
The appearance of five districts of Madhya Pradesh – Bhopal, Vidisha, Sehore, Raisen and Narmadapuram is now going to change soon. The state government has launched the mega road project in these areas, which aim to establish better connectivity among these districts. Under this project, people of these areas are expected to benefit up to 80 lakh population in the coming time.
To make these districts better connecting Bhopal, work on road networks has been intensified and the process of fixing the consultant has also started. In the next one month, a survey of road networks connected to these five districts will also be completed.
CM talks about Greater Rajdhani
Recently, at the inauguration program of Ambedkar Bridge held in Bhopal, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav talked about the construction of a large capital. The work started in this direction only after this announcement and now the development of Bhopal and surrounding areas will be done in an organized manner as a large capital. This project can prove to be an important step towards large and overall development.
Bhopal’s master plan will be stopped
It is planned to stop the master plan of Greater Bhopal, so that five districts in Bhopal and its surroundings can be developed as the same cluster. These instructions have been given by the government to the officials of T&CP (Town and Country Planning Department). Now the overall development of five districts including Bhopal will be done under the same scheme. Schemes up to Sehore, Bhopal-Nar Singhgarh, Biaora-Rajgarh, Bhopal-Narmadapuram, Bhopal-Vidisha and Bhopal-Risen will be included in these districts.
Improvement in conservation works
Currently, Bhopal and Sehore work under different development schemes, while both have a large pond and its catchment area shared. Protection work is half-incomplete due to different schemes. Now under the large Rajdhani Yojana, more effectiveness can be brought in conservation works by uniting both areas.
Development of Mandideep Industrial Area
Mandideep industrial area is located near Bhopal, but it falls in Raisen district. Earlier, no concrete plan could be made for its development with Bhopal. Now it will be included in the large capital, so that it will also be seen on the global map and plans can be made towards its development.
Protection and development of global heritage
Protection and development of global heritage like Sanchi and Bhima Betika from Bhopal was not possible earlier. These heritage will now be directly connected to the development of Bhopal, so that they can be protected and management in a better way.
Extension of metro network in Bhopal
The metro network in Bhopal is continuously expanding. At present, the metro network is being extended to Mandideep. In future, the big budget will also expand the metro outside the 100 km radius of Bhopal, which will make the movement of metro in the vicinity around Bhopal easier and this will also improve the traffic of the city.
New planning will increase speed and level
Suyash Kulshrestha says that keeping in mind the population of 80 lakh people in this new scheme, the level of planning will be widespread than ever and the pace of work on it will also be faster. Now the purpose of this large project is to develop cities in the metropolitan form, so that the plan and its results are completely in line with the development of a large city.
He further said, “If public transport improves, then the pressure of population will definitely decrease in Bhopal city. Work has started in this direction and now it will be completed at a fast pace.”
Survey in collaboration with various agencies under the overall scheme
For the development of Greater Rajdhani, T&CP (Town and Country Planning Department) Director cum Commissioner Srikanth Banoth also gave a statement about the scheme. He said, “We meet various agencies and use their survey, so that we can prepare an overall development plan of the entire region. Many times we also conduct survey ourselves.”
Pave the way for development in future
The Greater Rajdhani Yojana aims not only to develop modern cities, but also to ensure the overall development of Bhopal and surrounding districts through it. Under this scheme, along with improvement in communication and traffic, necessary facilities will also be expanded. As a result, work will be done towards smart cities in Bhopal and other connected areas.
Improvement of public transport
Improvement in public transport, especially the expansion of the network of metro and other public transport, will facilitate traffic in Bhopal city as well as surrounding areas. In addition, along with the construction of modern infrastructure in areas associated with the Greater Rajdhani Yojana, the quality of urban life will also improve.
