In Indore district, innovation is being made by the administration in the interest of consumers and to make fair price shops financially strong. Under the direction of Collector Ashish Singh, the appearance and seam of government fair price shops in the district has started changing. Now arrangements have been started to give ration to consumers from government fair price shops as well as quality milk products and other nutritional materials at reasonable price. To make organic products available from these shops, the public nutrition center was formally launched by organizing the main program at the Adarsh Women’s Primary Store Banganga Indore today. In the program, the video conference included Central Joint Secretary Food Department Ravi Shankar, Joint Director NFSA Government of India Jai Patil, Commissioner Food Karmaveer Sharma Varchuali. Consultant Abhishek Kumar, Chandrapal Yadav, Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat Siddharth Jain, District Supply Controller ML. Maru, dealer of 30 shops of Pilot Project, Local Councilor Mrs. Sandhya Jaiswal, attended the beneficiary consumer program.
Union Joint Secretary Ravi Shankar gave necessary guidance to the dealer about the pilot project of Public Nothan Center. He explained the importance of providing quality materials related to nutrition to consumers and making the fair price shop economically strong and multiple. The Commissioner Food was given guidance to the dealer and the team of Food Department for better implementation of the pilot project of the Government of India and fulfill the nutrition through these centers. It was told that this is an innovative initiative to convert government ration shops into nutrition centers. Its purpose is to provide nutrition -rich foods to the people.

After the inauguration of the Public Nutrition Center, more than 50 consumers purchased coarse grains, dal, milk, curd, ghee, spices etc. Local consumers expressed happiness over the availability of the said material at the fair price shop. He said that along with ration, you will not have to go elsewhere to purchase other ingredients.
After the commencement of public nutrition center at fair price shops, consumers will not only benefit, with this, the income of ration dealers will also increase and people will get food -rich foods. Public nutrition centers will have storage of nutritional products. In these centers, ration dealers will get another source of income. Ration dealers will also get easy loans facilities for these centers. Digital tools and support systems will be used in these centers.
The Central Joint Director Food Ravi Shankar, who attended the program, attended the first public nutrition center of the state and congratulated them on starting the first public nutrition center of the state.
