Madhya Pradesh Western Region Electricity Distribution Company Center and State Government’s priority smart meter project is effectively operating effectively. On Friday, the smart meter installation figure in Indore city crossed 5 lakhs. State Energy Minister Shri Pradyuman Singh Tomar has congratulated the personnel of the Western Region Company on this achievement.
Mr. Anoop Kumar Singh, Managing Director of Madhya Pradesh West Region Electricity Distribution Company Indore, said that along with the smart meter cell, the team of districts are operating the smart meter project very seriously and are working with quality meter installation, accurate reading, data collection, flawed billing etc. MD Mr. Singh informed that smart meeting is continuing rapidly, increasing consumer services. Under this, 5 lakh 500 smart meters have been installed in Indore city. This number is the highest in any city of Madhya Pradesh. After Indore, there have been 1.12 lakh smart meters in Ujjain district of the company area, 1.10 lakh smart meters in Ratlam district. 10 thousand to 55 thousand smart meters have been installed in other districts. 11.46 lakh smart meter installation work has been completed in the company sector. Currently, about two and a half to 3000 smart meters per day have been installed. Smart meter roof top solar net meter and Time of the Day Bill System are also proving to be a concession to consumers.
