Principal promotion banned, B.ED degree is compulsory on this day, hearing will be held on this day

The High Court has stayed till further order on issuing the order of Principal Promotion in the state. After listening to all the parties, the Chief Justice said that all the parties should submit their side with the necessary information. The next hearing has been scheduled on 16 April.

The case was heard on Wednesday in the division bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Kumar Sinha, Justice Ravindra Kumar Aggarwal. Whether or not the B.Ed degree should be made mandatory for Principal Promotion, petitioner Akhilesh Kumar Tripathi’s advocate and interventionist advocate Alok Bashi presented his side. At the same time, Additional Advocate General Yashwant Thakur presented his side on behalf of the government.

This is the case
Petitioner Adhikata Akhilesh Tripathi, through his advocate, has filed a petition in the High Court seeking a Lecturer to promote B.Ed degree for promotion to the post of principal and promotion to B.Ed degree holder lecturer to the post of Principal. Following this petition, Vayayota Lunakaran Thakur filed an intervention petition on behalf of Principal Promotion Forum. The High Court has accepted the intervention petition for hearing. The intervention petition stated that the principal is administrative post, while the person is an educational post.
