Mungeli
It has been more than 75 years since the British have left India, but the usefulness of their constructions so far is evidence of the negativeness of the responsibilities. One such model is a bridge connecting Mungeli and Bilaspur. This bridge, built in the British era, is shedding tears on its plight today.
Local people have been demanding to make this bridge afresh between Barela and Takhatpur for a long time, but neither the leader nor any officer care. The repair work is left to show in between. Not only this, it is prohibited to pass heavy vehicles not only through this bridge but from the city. Still passing through indiscriminately.
Not only the narrow bridge is distributing its repair, but there have been fatal pits on the bridge, due to which accidents are happening every day. It also needs to be repaired over time.
