Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that every employee of the Health Department is committed to deliver health services to the people with full awareness and dedication. He appreciated the ASHA workers and said that his role in maternal and child health services is commendable. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that ASHA workers have won the trust of pregnant women and their families with their services, which they are reaching health institutions even in risky situations. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla, referring to the example of a pregnant woman resident of Deeksha Nagar, Bagmugalia, said that the incident is a proof of strong faith between health workers and beneficiaries. He has appreciated the dedication and duty of Asha Didi Mrs. Suman Verma.
ASHA workers backbone of community health system
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that ASHA workers are the backbone of the community health system, whose efforts are making timely identification and appropriate care of highris pregnant women. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, “everyone’s health, everyone’s trust” is being realized. The active role of ASHA workers woven a strong fabric of faith between pregnant women and their families, improving maternal and child health services.
Appeal to pregnant women to conduct regular checks
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that it is the resolution of every employee of the Health Department to provide health services to the people and bring maternal and infant mortality to the minimum level. He called upon all ASHA workers and health workers to provide services with dedication and awareness like Mrs. Suman Verma, so that the quality and access of health services in the state can be improved further. He appealed to pregnant women to conduct regular checks.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Bhopal Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari said that the pregnant woman was identified for investigation at the extended Prime Minister’s Safe Maternity Campaign Camp held at Urban Primary Health Center, Pink Nagar on 25 March. The woman was underweight and had an abortion in the east, so she was placed in the high -head category. ASHA worker of ward number 55, Mrs. Suman Verma, continuously motivated the woman to get the camp and conduct an inquiry. But the woman was not ready to go with another person. This was the result of the care and advice given by the ASHA worker from time to time that the woman was convinced that she and her child would not have any kind of threat only when she went with Asha Didi. In view of this belief of the woman, ASHA worker brought the woman to the camp and got her examined.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Bhopal Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari informed that more than eight hundred pregnant women were examined in 66 health institutions in the Extended Prime Minister’s Safe Maternity Campaign Camps held on March 25. In this, women with high -head pregnancy are identified and three additional delivery are being investigated. These special camps are organized on 9 and 25th of every month to reduce maternal and newborn mortality. Even after delivery, ASHA worker is followed by a house for 45 days, so that the woman and baby can get better care after delivery.
