In Nagpur, the rumor of burning a sheet written and the protest of right-wing organizations continues to be accused of allegations and counter-allegations. Dozens of people have been detained in this case. On Sunday, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam claimed that people associated with Bangladesh are involved in the recent violence in Nagpur. Nirupam also claimed at a press conference here that the violence was pre -planned and it was part of a major conspiracy.
Violence erupted after the rumor of burning ‘chadar’ written during the protests led by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) to demand the removal of the grave of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on March 17 in Nagpur city of Maharashtra. As a result of the clashes, there were large -scale stone pelting and arson in several parts of the city, injuring 33 policemen, including three officers of the police level,.
Nirupam also alleged that one of the persons arrested in connection with the violence was using social media to raise funds for ‘Mujahideen activities’. Nirupam criticized the alleged alliance of Shiv Sena (UBT) with such groups. He said, ‘Is Shiv Sena (UBT) joining Mujahideen? Are Thackeray and (Sanjay) Raut supporting him? ‘
The Shiv Sena leader said that it would not be accepted in Maharashtra. He denied the current leadership of the opposition party Shiv Sena (UBT) and the political strategies of the party, saying, “Matoshree (Uddhav Thackeray’s residence) will soon have a picture of Aurangzeb near the picture of Balasaheb Thackeray and Shivaji Maharaj.” Earlier on Saturday, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had said that it would be too early to say that Nagpur violence has any connection with abroad or Bangladesh.
