Paddy is continuously coming in the agricultural produce market Itarsi, due to which the Mandi administration has now decided to work on government holidays to provide convenience to farmers. The Mandi administration has decided to keep the market open from 21 March to 29 March. According to the order issued by Mandi Committee Secretary Arvind Parihar, during this period there will be regular auction and weighing work in Mandi every day. During this time, work will be held in Mandi on Saturday and Sunday. Keeping in mind the convenience of the farmers, the holidays of the market employees have also been canceled during this period.
Appeal to farmers
The mandi administration has appealed to the farmers to cooperate in the system so that the process of auction and weighing of paddy can be operated smoothly. This order has been issued by the Additional Development Officer (Revenue) and the Indian Officer Mandi. Apart from this, information has also been given to Madhya Pradesh State Agricultural Marketing Board Bhopal, Collector Narmadapuram, business organizations and media in this regard.
Mandi administration upset due to heavy shortage of employees
Itarsi agricultural produce market is facing many problems due to lack of staff. A total of 72 posts have been approved in the district’s A-grade Itarsi agricultural produce market, but has been vacant for more than half of them. Currently only 32 employees are employed, some of which include women and disabled employees.
