Geo News said that 24 -year -old Captain Hasnain Akhtar has died during the encounter. Hasnain was in charge of soldiers.

Terrorist attacks increased by 42 percent in a month
According to the report of Geo News, the think tank Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies (PICS) said in its data that in January 2025 there was a sharp increase in terrorist attacks in the country. This increase is 42% higher than the previous month.
Statistics have shown that there have been at least 74 terrorist attacks across the country. There have been 91 deaths in them. The dead include 35 security personnel, 20 civilians and 36 terrorists. 117 people have been injured. It has 53 security forces, 54 citizens and 10 terrorists. Terrorists carried out 27 attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa morning. It killed 17 people, including 11 security personnel and six citizens. 46 people died in 19 attacks in KP’s tribal districts. It consists of 13 security personnel, 8 civilians and 25 terrorists.
