Union Home Minister Amit Shah says that Naxalism will end by 31 March 2026. He said in the Rajya Sabha, “I want to tell the country that Naxalism will end from this country by 31 March 2026. Naxalites formed parallel governments, run parallel governments. There is a 10 -year vision of the Narendra Modi government behind ending Naxalism.”
The Home Minister was responding to the discussion on the functioning of the Ministry of Home Affairs in the Rajya Sabha on Friday. During this, he said that we have fought against Naxalism with the latest technology. Draw all their types of communication and movement. Drone and satellite surveillance. Data analyzed and equipped its security forces, on the basis of which the security forces succeeded.
He said that there has been a significant decrease in the violent incidents related to Naxalism and the number of security forces killed by the Congress rule. During the Congress rule, 126 districts were affected by Naxalism. Now only 12 such districts are left. By 31 March next year, these districts will also be free from Naxalism. Earlier there were not a single night landing helipad in Naxal -affected districts.
68 Night Landing Helipads have been created to strengthen security forces. Several crore rupees of Naxalites have been seized. We have worked to increase the budget to 300 percent for development in these areas. Highways are built and rural roads are built. Mobile towers are installed. The entire Naxal area is now equipped with mobile connectivity.
He also gave information about the change in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that cinema halls were not opened at night for 33 years under the Congress rule, they are open there under our rule. The procession of Tajia was not allowed for 34 years, given under our rule. In the G20 meeting, diplomats from all over the world went there peacefully. He has returned to his country by experiencing the culture, beauty, food and music of Kashmir. In this country, we all went to hoist the tricolor at Lal Chowk.
Under the leadership of the Prime Minister and our then President Murali Manohar Joshi, Kashmiri Yatra was taken out from Kanyakumari. We were not getting permission to go to Lal Chowk. When insisted, in the security of the army, he had to go back to the flag and come back. Today, there was not a single house in the ‘every house tricolor program’ at the same Lal Chowk where there is no tricolor. He further said that the Formula-4 racing car was organized in Srinagar. Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated at the same Lal Chowk. Deepawali and Saraswati were worshiped in the temple of Maa Sharda Devi after decades. The Ashtami Festival of Kheer Bhavani was celebrated after 22 years.
Apart from this, the Union Home Minister informed that the villages are migrating for facilities. The border of the country whose villages are empty, the border of that country can never be safe, so with a new approach, earlier called the last village of the country, now it is called the first village in the country.
I say to the claim that even in terms of facilities, this village will be the first village in the country in the next 10 years. Vibrant Village Program has been brought for this. Under this, 90 percent of the center has a grant and 10 percent is part of the state. In this proportion, money is given for these villages. Initially, we have included 652 villages with an allocation of Rs 4,800 crore. This includes 455 in Arunachal Pradesh, 51 from Uttarakhand, 75 in Himachal, 46 in Sikkim and several villages in Ladakh.
