Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan said in the Lok Sabha that after the marriage of his sons, now he is going to the Vanaprastha Ashram and will spend all his time in the service of the farmers. Chauhan answered the complementary questions of the members during the Question Hour and said, “From today I am going from the householder to the Vanaprastha Ashram. Today is a ‘reception’ after the marriage of my sons. I have invited everyone. From tomorrow, I will be Vanaprashi and will spend all my time in the service of the farmers because their service is the worship of God for me. ”
He answered the supplementary question related to the crop insurance scheme and said that before the Modi government, the smallest unit of compensation for the loss of crop was Tehsil and until the crop was wasted in the entire tehsil, farmers did not get compensation. Chauhan said that the village was made the smallest unit in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government and farmers get relief even if the crop is damaged in a village. He praised Prime Minister Modi and said that if the leader of the country is a vision, the arrangements start changing automatically. Chauhan said that the condition of the farmers was very bad a decade ago, but after the arrival of this government, not one, many measures have been taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, due to which the condition of the farmers is continuously improving.
He claimed that the Modi government would leave no stone unturned to improve the condition of farmers. In response to the supplementary question asked by Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi regarding her parliamentary constituency Wayanad (Kerala), the Agriculture Minister said, “The farmer is from Kerala or Karnataka, a farmer. We are all red by Mother India and there is no question of discrimination. ”
He said that whenever natural disasters come, according to the recommendation of the NITI Aayog, the central government gives money to the states and if there is a big natural disaster, then the central government also sends additional amount by sending a special party. Chauhan said, “Kerala was also provided Rs 138 crore under NDRF (National Disaster Relief Fund). Through you, I want to assure the member (Priyanka Gandhi) that if there is a crisis, the Center will stand with the kingdom without discrimination. ” He said that wherever there will be a natural crisis on the farmers, they will stand with them, irrespective of any state, village ..
