The purchase of wheat at the minimum support price has started from March 15. Wheat will be purchased by May 5 on support price. Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput informed that the government of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will give Rs 175 per quintal bonus to farmers besides the minimum support price of wheat at Rs 2425. This time wheat will be purchased at the rate of Rs 2600 per quintal. Farmers will have to book online slots to sell wheat. Also, farmers who have not yet registered for wheat procurement can get them done by 31 March 2025.
All the necessary facilities like tents, seating arrangements, water, fans, weighing machines and computers have been provided for the convenience of farmers at procurement centers. A cleaning machine is also being installed for cleaning wheat.
