Power cuts were damaging crop
Tuleshwar Nishad, son of the deceased farmer, said that the bore was dug in the field, a bore was running, but the field dried up due to power cuts. There is a cut six to eight hours. If the operator falls asleep, then there is lightning overnight. The father was more upset due to the damage to the standing crop in the field due to power cuts.

Collector directed SDM to investigate
In this case, Mahasamund Collector Vinay Kumar Lhenga says that it was difficult to say that the farmer committed suicide due to power cuts. Only after investigation can something be said. SDM and Thanedar have been asked to investigate.

Congress inquiry committee also met family members
Two days after the incident, i.e. on March 13, the inquiry committee constituted by the Congress met the family members. The Congress investigation team reached Sighanpur and interacted with the family of the deceased farmer and inquired about the reasons behind the suicide. During this time, the villagers said that there is a problem of continuous power cuts and low voltage in the village, due to which the farmers are suffering heavy losses.
