The terror of elephants is increasing in the Dharmajayagarh forest division of the district. Late in the night, four elephants came out of the forest in village Bagda of Pratappur Circle and entered the village and caused heavy damage to the farmers’ maize crop. The sudden arrival of elephants in the village caused panic, but without the help of the forest department, the villagers themselves tried to drive the elephants away by taking the front.

The number of elephants in Dharmajayagarh forest division is continuously increasing, due to which there is an atmosphere of fear in many nearby villages. Farmers’ crops are being wasted, but proper action is not being taken by the Forest Department.
