On the day of Holi, Richa Kaushik (23), daughter of BJP Mahila Morcha District President Sweety Kaushik, died in a horrific road accident on Durg-Rajanandgaon bypass road, while three of her friends were seriously injured. The accident took place at around 3 pm on Monday afternoon, when Richa was going to eat with her friends in a dhaba in Durg bypass. His high speed car suddenly uncontrolled and collided with the divider and overturned.
The collision was so tremendous that Richa suffered serious injuries. He was rushed to the Ramakrishna Care Hospital in the capital Raipur in a hurry, but died during treatment. The driver’s life was saved by the opening of the car’s airbag, but Richa died due to a car overturning and a deep injury to the head. Three youths injured in the accident were identified as Mayank Yadav (son of Crime ASI Gupteshwar Yadav, resident of Kohka), Ayush Yadav (25, Resident Industrial Area Housing Board) and Harsh Yadav (24, Kohka, Bhilai resident). All three are being treated at Arogyam Hospital.
On receiving the news of this painful accident, many senior BJP leaders arrived to mourn. Durg MP Vijay Baghel, Vaishali Nagar MLA Rikesh Sen, former Assembly Speaker Prem Prakash Pandey, BJP District President Purushottam Dewangan, Leader of Opposition Bhojram Sinha, Deputy Leader of Opposition Daya, Daya Singh, Councilor Vinod Singh and former BJP President Brijesh Bichpuria paid tribute to Richa. Today Richa’s body will be cremated. The police have registered a case and started investigation.
