Efforts are being made to implement each point of the new National Education Policy-2020 being implemented by the School Education Department in the state. The new National Education Policy-2020 has been worried about how Indians contributed to the fast growing world economy. Creation of employment is an important challenge for the public with their education, skills and aspirations. Keeping this in mind, the school education department is emphasizing on vocational education in government schools.
The School Education Department has sent a proposal to start new trade and job rolls in 700 new higher secondary schools in the new academic session to the Education Department of the Central Government. This trade is based on new skill upgradation of the 21st century. Currently 2383 schools are running courses of vocational education. In addition, the number of schools providing vocational education in the state will be more than 3 thousand. These courses emphasize on promoting advanced agriculture. Under Dairy Development Course Construction Trade, job rolls of Mation Assistant, Construction Painter, Assistant Designer, Fashion, Housekeeping, Office Administration and Management will also be started.
Currently operated in class 9 and 10, dattary operator, junior field technician, assistant beauty therapist, retailstore, Operation Assistant, Private Security Gord, Food and Beauries, Service Assistant, Micro Finance Executive, Assistant Plumber, Sewing Machine Operator, Foilry Service Assistant, Electrical Sarvist Assistant and Physical Education Assistant topics are headed, the courses in classes 11 and 12 have been given priority. Among them are Junior Software Developer, Sauler Panel Technician, Drone Service Technician, CCTB, footage operator, floriculture, self -employed taylor.
Vocational education to more than 4 lakh students
At present, more than 4 lakh students are being given vocational education in 2383 schools in the state. Arrangements have been made to train more than 4 thousand 700 teachers to provide various subjects to provide vocational education. The Directorate of Public Education has also instructed the District Education Officers to conduct extensive publicity regarding vocational education conducted in the state.
