There has been a big disclosure about Kannada actress Ranya Rao (Ranya Rao) arrested in Gold Smuggling case. The constable, who helped Ranya Rao at the airport, has claimed that he used to do this at the behest of DGP Ramchandra Rao. Ranya Rao is the step daughter of Karnataka DGP Ramchandra Rao.
Constable Basavaraj claims that DGP Ramchandra Rao instructed him to help Ranya at the airport. Ramchandra Rao, DGP of Karnataka, the stepfather of Ranya, told him that he left Ranya to Campegowda International Airport in Bangalore.
Constable Basavaraj posted at Campe Gowda Airport Police Station revealed that he was directly following the order of Ramchandra Rao. On the instructions of senior officials, he was responsible for arranging for bringing Ranya Rao.
Basavaraj says that the day Ranya was arrested. On that day at 6.20 pm, Ranya called him. Ranya told that she is coming from Dubai and asked for help. When Ranya was leaving from the airport, Basavaraja was with him at that time. Only after this, DRI arrested Ranya.
How was Ranya Rao busted?
Actress Ranya Rao reached Bangalore International Airport from Dubai on 3 March. Ranya made four trips to Dubai within 15 days, which raised doubts. A police constable named Basavaraju was already ready to help him at Bangalore Airport. With the help of that, the actress tried to escape the security check, but Dri’s team was already monitoring her. Dri caught Ranya red -handed with a gold consignment. During the investigation, the authorities recovered 14.2 kg of gold of foreign origin hidden in his jacket, which is an estimated price of Rs 12.56 crore in the market.
Actress Ranya’s friend is also arrested
Ranya Rao told the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) in his statement that he had learned to hide gold by watching YouTube videos. Ranya has been arrested in a gold smuggling case of Rs 14.2 crore. Tarun Raju, friend of Kannada actress Ranya Rao, arrested in a gold smuggling case of Rs 14 crore, has been arrested by the police. Raju is the grandson of the owner of the Atriya Hotel in Bengaluru.
Ranya also told that she used to get calls from unknown numbers for smuggling. This was the first time that she brought Sona from Dubai to Bengaluru.
According to Ranya, he bought crepe bandage and scissors at the airport to paste gold with his body. Gold was in two packets of plastic. To hide it, go to the toilet and stick gold biscuits to the body.
Gold was to hand over to an unknown person
Asked who had to give the gold of smuggling in Bengaluru, Ranya said, ‘I was asked to go to the service road after the airport toll gate to give gold to an unknown person. The signal had to keep gold in an auto rickshaw, but I did not have an auto rickshaw number.
Revenue Intelligence (DRI) is trying to track the smuggling gang based on data from Ranya’s phone and laptop.
At the same time, Ranya refused to identify the caller with an unknown number. He said, ‘I am not completely sure who called me. The caller spoke in the African-American language. He immediately left after handing over the gold. I never met him again. The man was about 6 feet tall and fair. ‘
BJP bid- A minister’s name in smuggling The BJP has alleged that the Congress is protecting Ranya Rao from investigation. At the same time, the Congress has accused the BJP of giving land to a company associated with the actress under suspicious circumstances.
Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra said, “The media reports are not surprising about the involvement of a prominent minister of Siddaramaiah government in the biggest gold smuggling.”
He alleged that the government protocol for smuggling more than Rs 12 crore cannot be misused without high -level political support.
State Home Minister G. God said that investigation is on. We cannot say anything until the investigation is completed. The BJP government had allotted 12 acres of land to a company associated with Ranya Rao.
