Several important decisions were taken at the cabinet meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Residence Office here today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai –
 The Council of Ministers has taken concrete initiative to resolve the Naxal problem in the state and approved the Chhattisgarh Naxalite Surrender/Victim Relief and Rehabilitation Policy-2025 in place of Chhattisgarh Naxalism Eradication Policy-2023. Under this policy, facilities like financial assistance, rehabilitation, education, employment and security will be provided to Maoists who surrender.
 Chhattisgarh State Industrial Security Force Bill-2025 Vidhan Sabha format was approved.
 The format of Chhattisgarh Cooperative Society (Amendment) Bill-2025 was approved.
 The format of Chhattisgarh Private University (Establishment and Operations) (Amendment) Bill-2025 was approved.
 On February 27, the Chief Minister announced the film “Chhava” tax free in the state. In compliance with the Chief Minister’s announcement by the Council of Ministers, it was approved to reimburse the amount of State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) for admission on the performance of the film Chhava.
 The Council of Ministers decided to set up the State Water Information Center (SWIC) to prepare better management of water resources in the state. For this, a memorandum (MoU) was agreed with the Ministry of Water Power, Government of India.
Raipur
The State Water Information Center will collect, analyze and store various information related information including rain, river and reservoir levels, groundwater quality, silt, water flow in canals, crop coverage, hydroelectric mapping, land and soil data.
SWIC will provide authentic data for water resources management with the help of a digital platform developed by NWIC. This will strengthen policy making, strategic decisions, modeling, development of analytical equipment and water management.
 The Council of Ministers decided to obtain Rs 522.22 crore for the improvement work of 09 tied of the State Department of Water Resources of the state through the Government of India. These include Maniyari tank, snail tank, Dudhwa, kinkari, Sondhur, Morumsilli (part-2), Ravi Shankar Sagar Project (Part-2), News Rudri Barrage and Pendravan tanks.
 The Council of Ministers has decided to launch the Chief Minister Good Governance Fellowship Scheme to ensure the participation of youth in strengthening good governance and policy implementation in the state.
The scheme will be run by the Department of Good Governance and Convergence in collaboration with IIM Raipur and Transforming Rural India Foundation New Delhi. This scheme will be for the youth of Chhattisgarh. Fellow, who fulfills this program well, will be awarded an MBA degree by IIM Raipur. Initially selected Fellow will have to attend the academic session in IIM Raipur in some period of two years and in the remaining period, the district/department will have to work for the state schemes and programs and provide support to the district/department. The expenses incurred in this program will be borne by the state government as well as the Fellow will also be provided stypend per month.
 The Council of Ministers has decided to investigate it through EOW, taking seriously the complaint of corruption in the implementation of the Bharat Mala Project in Chhattisgarh.
