Washington
America is constantly making pressure that India must buy any fighter jet from its F-21 or F-15EX. The Indian Air Force is planning to buy 114 fighter aircraft under the Multi-Roll Fighter Aircraft (MRFA) program. But this pressure has been created by the US when some controversies have started between the two countries regarding business. The US is constantly threatening to put tariffs on Indian goods. Apart from this, Donald Trump has already offered the F-35 stealth fighter aircraft to India. According to media reports, the US has indicated that if India decides to buy American fighter jet, it can get business benefits.
But the Indian Air Force has concerns about both these fighter jets. How much these fighter jets will be able to be able to deal with regional threats, the Indian Air Force has a deep doubt. Therefore, the Air Force is trying to know their technical abilities deeply before taking any decision.
Why is F-15EX fighter aircraft doubt?
There is no doubt that Americans F-21 and F-15EX are the best fighter aircraft. But there are serious questions about his operation in Indian circumstances. F-21 and F-15x are advanced variants of old fighter aircraft of America. But both these fighter jets do not have the ability to compete with fifth generation stealth fighter jets like J-20 and J-35A of China. Both of them do not have such features to compete with Chinese fighter aircraft. There is also a matter of trouble for India because Pakistan has already announced to buy J-35 from China. So why would India want to invest well in such fighter jets, which do not match its needs. Although the US has offered F-35 Stealth Fighter Jet to India, American aircraft come with several conditions. America is not ready to make F-35 in India. Whereas India wants production in the country in any case.
India’s MRFA tender is about buying medium-weight fighter aircraft, but F-15EX is a heavy fighter aircraft. Therefore, it does not fit even on this scale for Indian Air Force. Although it is still a better option compared to F-21, India is already operating the Russian SU-30MKI fighter aircraft, which is as heavy as F-15EX. In such a situation, F-15EX does not match the operational needs of the Indian Air Force. India medium range weighing fighter aircraft wants the Indian Air Force to balance performance, capacity and maintenance in its fleet. But the Indian Air Force is not wanting to come under any political pressure. The Indian Air Force is committed to maintaining freedom in strategic freedom in defense procurement. Hence, despite the US pressure, India is adamant on its needs regarding the MRFA tender. The decision to buy a fighter jet depends on India’s long -term needs and operational requirements.
What is F-15EX capacity?
Let us tell you that F-15EX, F-15 Advanced Eagle Series is the next variant of fighter jets. It is considered the advance variant of the F-15E strike eagle. The US Air Force has designed it for extraordinary performance. F-15EX is equipped with advanced missile and bomb ejection rack (Amber) system. It is able to fly with 22 air -to -air missiles simultaneously. This is quite fatal compared to the previous F-15 model. Apart from this, one of its major strength helps in attacking several locations simultaneously through the Amber missile rack system. Apart from this, it also gives the ability to place small size bombs inside a target.
Let us tell you that advance missile and bomb ejection rack (Amber) is a high capacity missile rack, designed to increase the firepower of fighter jet. Each Amber rack can have four missiles, which can fly and fire F-15EX with several weapons. This jet is expected to have four amber racks under each wing and a rack under the torso. Apart from this, this fighter jet also has the ability to carry a 20 long distance AIM-120D missiles simultaneously. At the same time, it also has the ability to carry two short distance AIM-9X missiles on Wingtips. Hence the total number of missiles becomes 22. That is, the fighter jet is very powerful, there is no doubt, but whether it will be able to fit according to the needs of India or not, it is being assessed at the moment.
