The Madhya Pradesh government is working on a plan to make the state’s commercial capital and the cleanest city of Indore a traffic signal -free city. An official said on Sunday that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is also being used to make the traffic management smart and more efficient, which will reduce accidents. The Urban Development and Housing Department is working on a plan to make Indore a signal -free city. Its purpose is to operate traffic in the city uninterruptedly.
Under this scheme, initiatives such as flyover, baylane, underpass and intelligent traffic management systems are being implemented. The official release states that the journey time of the citizens will be reduced and the traffic will remain smooth after the completion of this scheme.
Urban traffic will be convenient
Signal -free scheme will help to facilitate rapidly growing urban traffic and reduce travel time. The release said that 1330 buses are being operated by the department on the urban routes of the state. To keep the environment clean in urban areas, a proposal for the purchase of 552 e-Basis in PM e-bus service has been sent to the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry.
Electric vehicles boost
Estimates of bus depot infrastructure for Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Sagar have been approved. Along with this, the estimates of charging infrastructure for Bhopal, Jabalpur, Ujjain and Sagar have been approved. The release said that the work of developing 217 e-charging infrastructure is being done by the department to promote the operation of electric vehicles in Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur.
