Students who have done 12th from Central Sanskrit University are not getting admission in any other college for graduation

Bhopal

This news is surprising amidst continuous efforts to promote Sanskrit education. Students who do North Madhyama/Promotion (class 11th and 12th) from the Central Sanskrit University are neither able to take admission in any other college for graduation. These classes up to class 12th are not affiliated to any board. However, the student who does graduation from this university after the natural or studying beyond, then it is being accepted everywhere. Every year 60 students get admission in natural courses in Bhopal campus, now they are worried about not recognizing it by other institutions.

Central government has issued circulars to all, yet boards are not recognizing

Aryavart Sharma of Bhopal studied Class 12th (natural) from the National Institute of Sanskrit, Bhopal Campus in 2024, but due to lack of recognition, it is not getting admission in any college. They could not apply for CUET and Agnivir recruitment, as the name of National Sanskrit Institute and Central Sanskrit University is not available in online form. Now they have to study private 12th. Contacted the campus several times for the solution, but no help was found.

The Government of India established the National Sanskrit Institute for the development of Sanskrit education in 1970. In May 2002, it was declared a multi-majorized honorable university, which has been run by the Bhopal Campus year 2002-03.

In 2020 it was included in the Central Sanskrit University. In 2013, the Ministry of Human Resource Development issued a circular to all the states and boards to clarify that Uttaramadhyama/Prakasis are equivalent to 11th and 12th, yet many institutions are not recognizing it.

Case in high level cognizance

This episode has been brought to cognizance at a high level. The natural is considered equivalent to the Higher Secondary by the Union Ministry. It should be validated. -Pro. Ramakant Pandey, Director, Bhopal Campus, Central Sanskrit University

Will be resolved soon

The subject is in cognizance. Earlier there were National Sanskrit Institutes. There was no problem then. Discussions are being held at the ministry level. Will be resolved soon. Srinivas Varkhedi, Vice Chancellor, Central Sanskrit University, Delhi
