Notification to run 1450 trains on the occasion of Holi
Dilip Kumar said that the festival of Holi is very special in the country. On this festival, people go to their respective homes in large numbers and keeping this in mind, we have prepared. This year, on the occasion of Holi, we have issued a notification to run 1450 trains. These trains will run from different parts of the country. Trains have also been notified from places like New Delhi, Anand Vihar, Ahmedabad. Last year, we saw that on the occasion of Holi, a large number of people from the areas around West India and New Delhi go to Bihar and eastern Uttar Pradesh. Based on this pattern, we have planned trains. Trains have been notified according to the needs of travelers going to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh from various places in Delhi, Anand Vihar and Punjab.
Permanent holding area at 60 important stations
On the preparation of mob management, he said that 60 important stations will prepare a permanent holding area. Temporary holding areas have been prepared on the occasion of Holi. Additional Safety Employees, Railway Protection Force personnel and commercial staff have been deployed at all places. Similarly, the number of ticket windows has been kept more than normal days.
Full arrangement on 139 helpline number
Keeping Holi in mind, on the question of making additional help desk, Dilip Kumar said that complete arrangements have been made on our 139 helpline number to help the people. Apart from this, we have also made inquiries counters at stations, from where information about various trains can be obtained. Apart from this, we are also giving complete information about various trains daily on our social media sites.
He further said that during Holi, we have made every effort to run special trains from all important places and additional members of RPF have been deployed to monitor the admission arrangement in unreserved class. The entire system goes on smoothly, we also expect the support of the public. He appealed to the people not to pay attention to any kind of rumor. The railway administration is fit and is engaged in your service with full awareness.
