Madhya Pradesh has a burden of more than 25 thousand crores for concessional electricity, then the cost of Ladli Bahna, is heavy

Bhopal
Even though the Ladli Bahna Yojana has been beneficial for the BJP government, it is overshadowing the treasury. About 19 thousand crore rupees per year is being spent on this one scheme. Similarly, a burden of 25 thousand crore rupees is coming due to grants in lieu of providing electricity to the power companies at a free and concessional rate. Schemes like scooty, laptop, saree, shoes and Kanyadaan are also affecting the government’s finance management. Cheap LPG cylinder is being provided to Ladli sisters, that is, the government gives the amount of difference at the rate at which it is available. About 800 crore rupees are also being spent in this. Overall, about 50 thousand crore rupees in a year are being spent on such schemes annually.

The burden of debt is increasing
The state budget is Rs 3.65 lakh crore. As the budget size is increasing, the debt burden is also increasing. The total load of debt has reached four lakh 22 thousand crore rupees at this time. However, the government is in a position to repay the debt and not once did such a situation happen when there was a lapse in giving installments.

The same situation is also about interest payment. Every year 25 to 30 thousand crore rupees are paying interest. The big role in increasing the burden of debt is also of those schemes called free schemes or Revdis. Ladli Bahna Yojana is prominent in this. The Shivraj government had implemented the scheme, at the time of the assembly elections, the then Shivraj government had implemented the scheme. In this, first Ladli sisters were given one thousand rupees per month and then increased it to Rs 1,250. Meanwhile, 250 rupees were also given to celebrate Rakhi.

The announcement of this amount to Rs 3,000 gradually has been announced by the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and later the current Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. It is possible that some amount should be increased in the budget. Not only this, the refill of LPG cylinder is being made available to women coming under the purview of the scheme for Rs 450, that is, whatever amount is charged on this amount, it is deposited directly in the account as a grant by the government.

The weight of more than 25 thousand crores in cheap electricity
In order to provide cheap electricity to more than one crore power consumers of the state, there is a lawsuit to provide 100 units of electricity for hundred rupees in Atal Griha Jyoti Yojana. Similarly, free electricity is being provided to the farmers of Scheduled Castes and Tribe category on the use of agricultural pumps up to five horsepower.

Financial loss occurs
Electricity is also being supplied at a discounted rate to encourage industries. In this, a policy of more than 25 thousand crore rupees has been kept in the budget of various departments to fulfill the economic losses caused to the power distribution companies. Under the public distribution system, free food grains are being provided to more than five crore beneficiaries. However, the central government raises its expenditure. The school education department is giving scooty, laptop to meritorious students, while those who collect forest produce are given saris, shoes and water bottles.
