Before the Holi festival, sugarcane farmers have got a huge gift. On the instructions of Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, before the festival of Holi, Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar Factory released a payment of Rs 5.22 crore on 7 March 2025 to bring happiness to the faces of sugarcane farmers.

During the crushing session 2024-25, sugarcane farmers have been paid at the rate of Rs 315.10 per quintal. So far, a total of Rs 50.21 crore has been paid by the factory, which has given direct benefits to thousands of farmers of the area. Under the guidance of Collector Shri Gopal Varma, it is constantly being ensured that sugarcane farmers were received on time. The Bhaormadev Cooperative Sugar Factory crushed a total of 2.78 lakh metric tonnes of sugarcane in this session, producing 2.59 lakh quintals of sugar. This success will also strengthen the regional economy.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that our government considers the rights and respect of farmers to be paramount. We ensured that farmers get their wages before Holi, so that they could celebrate the festival with joy and self -reliance. He said that the state government is constantly striving to strengthen the economic condition of farmers and provide a fair price for their produce. This step of the government is seeing enthusiasm among the sugarcane farmers. Farmer families will now be able to celebrate Holi with more joy.

Deputy Chief Minister Sharma, while wishing the farmers on Holi, said that sugarcane farmers are the backbone of our economy. His hard work reaches the house from house to house. The government is making every effort for their prosperity. It will be ensured that farmers get full value of their hard work and they become financially strong. The efforts made by the Bhoramdev Cooperative Sugar factory in the interest of farmers are ensuring their economic stability. This payment is not only an economic relief for the farmers, but also an important step to further increase the sweetness of Holi festival.
