On the occasion of International Women’s Day, special initiative was taken by Bhopal Railway Division to promote the honor and empowerment of women. On the auspicious occasion of International Women’s Day, the Bhopal Railway Division took an inspirational step to reveal the honor and dedication of women. On this special day, train number 18235 Bhopal-Bilaspur Express was completely run by women employees, which is a symbol of positive efforts of the railway towards women empowerment.
This train was flagged off from platform number 5 of Bhopal railway station at 10:15 am today. On this occasion, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Mrs. Rashmi Diwakar flagged off the train and welcomed the women’s crew members with warmth. He honored all women employees by wearing a wreath and offering bouquets and gave their best wishes for their outstanding work.
This special train was operated by a skilled woman crew, in which Mrs. Ku as Loco Pilot. Nutan, Mrs. Neha Srivastava as Assistant Loco Pilot, Mrs. Akshita Kale as train manager and Mrs. Rita Yadav and Mrs. Rashmi Magarde as train ticket examiner. This attempt by women employees to operate train does not only reflect the increasing participation of women in the railways, but it is also a lively example of women empowerment.
ADRM Mrs. Rashmi Diwakar was accompanied by senior divisional power engineer (traction operations) Mr. Sachin Sharma, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Saurabh Kataria, Chief Loco Inspector, Divisional Commercial Manager, Station Manager (Commerce) and other supervisors were present on the occasion.
Bhopal division contributed to women empowerment
Bhopal Railway Division is constantly making efforts to move forward in their field of work and strengthen their participation. The Mandal currently employs 41 women’s loco pilots, which are showing their efficiency in the field of rail operations. Apart from this, a total of 1100 women employees in Bhopal division are working in various departments, which are contributing to various important areas of the Railways.
These include 164 in the Department of Commerce, 156 in Mechanical Department, 109 in Operations Department, 216 in Electricity Department, 164 in the Department of Engineering, 45 in Security Department, 87 in the Department of Security and Telecommunications Department, 64 in Medical Department, 24 in Accounts Department, 24 in Personnel Department, 20 in Personnel Department, 20 in General Administration, 20 in General Administration, 3 in Administration Department and 3 in Store Department. All these women have made a unique contribution in their respective fields, due to which the performance of Bhopal division is continuously getting better.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Saurabh Kataria said on the occasion, “Women are working successfully in various areas of the railway due to hard work, dedication and dedication of women employees. Bhopal division is constantly striving to empower women and promote their functionality. Women are provided convenient work environment, necessary training and incentives by the Mandal to provide all possible support in the field, so that they can move forward with efficiency in their work. ”
On this occasion of International Women’s Day, this step of Bhopal division is dedicated to women power, which makes the role of women in society more powerful and inspiring.
