The issue of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana resonated during the Question Hour in the Assembly on Friday. There was a fierce debate between former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Panchayat Minister Vijay Sharma on the subject. Dissatisfied with not getting the answer, the opposition extended the House.

Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel sought the year -wise information regarding PM rural house. Panchayat Minister Vijay Sharma said that information has been sought from January 2016 to 2025 from January to December. Information has been given on the basis of financial year. On this, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the statistics states that 18 lakh houses have been given, but the works of the previous government have been hidden. The information given to the member of the House is something else.

On this, Panchayat Minister Vijay Sharma said that according to the data, 32 lakh houses were given in the third term of Modi ji, in which 16 states did not need to provide PM housing. Bhupesh ji is talking about work during his government. But how much work was done should also have been told. The central government has given eight lakh houses. The minister said that there are figures for the year -wise and financial year, so the difference is visible.

Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel asked, the government has informed that 11 lakh houses have been built. Now 18 lakh houses will be built or seven lakh houses will be built? Panchayat Minister Vijay Sharma said that there is a figure of 18 lakhs separate from 11 lakh houses. The former Chief Minister alleged that the government is making a mess in the PM residence.
