42nd National Rowing Championship in Bhopal from today, players from 25 states will participate, CM will inaugurate

Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Shri Vishwas Kailash Sarang will be held at Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy, Boat Club from today to 7 March at Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy, Bhopal. Minister Shri Sarang visited the venue of the 42nd National Senior Rowing Championship with senior officials of the Sports Department and reviewed the arrangements. He informed that Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the five -day 42nd National Senior Ring Championship on March 3 at 4 pm. Minister Shri Sarang said that this competition is important to promote water sports in Madhya Pradesh, which will increase the enthusiasm towards water sports games in the state and will give a new direction to the youth. He informed that we are constantly making efforts in this direction to be established as the major center of Madhya Pradesh for participation in water sports.

14 events will be organized in the competition
Minister Shri Sarang informed that 14 events will be organized in this competition, which includes 2 events Para Single Skull Women and Male class. All the finals of 14 events will be concluded on 7 March 2025, in which 7 events will be held in the morning and 7 evenings. All events will be held at a distance of 2000 meters.

Bhopal’s big pond is one of the best water bodies in the country
Minister Shri Sarang informed that the big pond of Bhopal is one of the best water bodies in the country, and it is a matter of pride for the state. He further informed that out of a total of 27 teams across the country, 23 states and 500 participants of Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, and Service Sports Control Board teams will be involved in this competition. Minister Shri Sarang informed that on the inauguration of the competition, the players of Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy will give special performances of Roying, Kisking-Canoeing, Selling and Slalam Games.

This competition is important to promote water sports in Madhya Pradesh
Minister Shri Sarang said that this competition will promote water sports and provide a better platform to the youth of the state to show their talent. He further informed that during this competition, rowing players across the country will showcase their best technology and skills, which will increase awareness and enthusiasm about water sports sports in the state. Minister Shri Sarang informed that in Madhya Pradesh, there are continuous efforts to promote water sports and provide better platforms to the players to show their talent.

The center of attraction will be a live telecast of the competition
Minister Shri Sarang informed that the live broadcast of this competition will be done through LED screen at major intersections of the city including the boat club, which will give a wonderful experience of a magnificent water to sports lovers. He further informed that the live broadcast of this competition will give new inspiration among the youth towards the game and they will also be attracted towards water sports.
