When Team India ICC Champions Trophy will take on New Zealand in its final league stage of 2025, the match will be Virat Kohli’s 300th ODI international match. Right -arm batsman Virat Kohli has scored 14,085 runs in 299 ODIs played so far at an average of 58.20 and a strike rate of 93.41, including 51 centuries and 73 half -centuries. His best score is 183. He is the third highest run -scorer in this format after Kumar Sangakkara (14,234 runs with 25 centuries in 404 matches) and Sachin Tendulkar (18,426 runs in 463 matches) and is in India’s second highest run -scorer ODI International cricket.
Delhi -born Virat Kohli is also holding the record of scoring the most centuries in ODI international cricket with 51 centuries. He left his ideal Sachin behind during the World Cup semi -final against New Zealand in 2023. Sachin also arrived to watch that match. Virat’s batting average is the best among the batsmen who played more than 100 ODIs. If seen in ODI International cricket according to more than 30 innings, they are ahead of them Ryan Ten Doshet (1,541 runs in 32 innings at an average of 67.00) and Shubman Gill (2,734 runs at an average of 62.13 in 52 innings).
Not only this, Virat has made a habit of making good scores continuously and is moving towards the milestone of his career and he is the highest players to reach 8,000 runs (175 innings), 9,000 runs (194 innings), 10,000 runs (205 innings), 11,000 runs (222 innings), 12,000 runs (242 innings), 13,000 runs (287 innings), 13,000 runs (287 innings) and 14,000 (299 innings).
Virat Kohli is called Chase Master, as he has scored a brilliant average of 89.59 in 99 innings in 105 matches during successful run-day and 5,913 runs with 24 centuries and 25 half-centuries at a strike rate of 96.74. His best score came against Pakistan in the 2012 Asia Cup, when he scored 183 runs. Following the target, it is the highest run and most centuries scored by any batsman, moving towards victory.
He also holds the record of scoring the most runs in a 50 -over World Cup version, with 765 runs in 2023 at an average of 95.62 and a strike rate of 90.31 like Bradman, including three centuries and six half -centuries in 11 innings. Virat has also held the record of scoring the most runs in the ODI bilateral series by scoring 558 runs with an average of 186 in six innings against South Africa in 2018, three centuries and a half -century.
Virat Kohli has also received the ICC ODI Player of the Decade in 2011-20 for his immense contribution to ODIs and the ODI Cricketer of the Year in 2012, 2017, 2018 and 2023, the most ICC Awards who won by any player. In 95 ODIs as captain, Virat has won Team India in 65 matches. 27 matches were lost India, one match was tied and two matches were inconclusive.
