Target to provide safe maternity under any circumstances: Deputy Chief Minister Shukla

Divisional review meeting of the Health Department was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Public Health and Medical, Education Shri Rajendra Shukla. The meeting especially discussed maternal mortality and reducing infant mortality. Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in -charge of Sagar district Shri Shukla said that to reduce maternal mortality, ensure 100 percent registration of pregnant women. Asha, ANM should ensure ensure that they also have an ANC check in the first quarter, after which the required action is also ensured along with the identity of high risk pregnancy women. This will lead to good care of pregnant woman and baby.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla directed that the problems of the particular area should be identified and working by making practical strategies and monitoring should be done at every level in this regard. Collector, CMHO, Civil Surgeon, BMO, CHO etc. all monitor their levels and make sure that maternal mortality decreases. He said that it should be our goal to provide safe motherhood.

Along with making mothers aware, make field staff sensitive
Deputy Chief Minister and Health Minister Shri Rajendra Shukla said that continuous efforts are being made at the administration, administration level to reduce maternal mortality rate. Along with this, there is a need to make our mothers, society aware. We will be able to achieve the goal of safe motherhood only when mothers are healthy from pregnancy and before that. For this, necessary steps should be taken by the Health Department. The institutional delivery and transport system arrived at the right time along with the anti-anti-women’s anti-anti-women. Folic acid and iron supplements should be supplied to pregnant women at the appropriate time. Follow-ups should also be taken by the health team for the identity and quick treatment of high-risk pregnant women.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Shukla said that to reduce infant mortality (IMR), the health test and first aid of the newborn should be done within 24 hours of birth of the infant. The supply of vitamin A, iron and other essential micronutrients to children should also be ensured. To reduce infant mortality, the correct information should also be given to the families along with improvement in newborn care. Health workers and ASHA workers should identify the indication of delay in the development of children and be done quickly. Similarly, along with awareness as well as correct guidance to improve matters of malnutrition and anemia.

Sagar MP Mrs. Lata Wankhede, Sagar MLA Mr. Shailendra Jain, Banda MLA Mr. Virendra Lodhi, District Panchayat President Mr. Heera Singh Rajput, Mr. Shyam Tiwari, Mr. Jahar Singh and senior officials were present in the review meeting.

Necessary checks are conducted in CHC, Civil Hospital and District Hospital on 9th and 25th of each month
It is noteworthy that for the purpose of giving safe motherhood to pregnant women, necessary checks are done in the district hospital including Community Health Center, Civil Hospital on 9 and 25th of each month. In these investigations, the woman’s hemoglobin, her blood group, VDRL, HIV, thyroid related investigation, urin are also examined as well as sonography. On the basis of the above investigations, the pregnant woman is screened as well as it is also ascertained that the female high risk pregnant women are not in the category of high risk pregnant woman.
