A mosque in a mosque located in the northwestern region of Pakistan on Friday occurred a powerful bomb blast, killing at least 5 people and injured dozens. This incident took place before the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan. Superintendent of Police Abdul Rashid said that the blast took place in Akora Khatk district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The mosque was located within a pro-taliban madrasa, Jamia Hakania.
Investigation of incident continues
According to police, the dead and injured were rushed to the hospital after the explosion. No organization has taken responsibility for this attack yet. The madrasa in which the explosion took place is considered associated with the Afghan Taliban. Because of this, it is feared that there may be a conspiracy of terrorist organizations behind the attack.
Attack before Ramadan
The bomb blast took place at a time when the Muslim community was busy preparing for Ramadan. According to the Islamic calendar, the month of Ramadan can begin on Saturday or Sunday, which will depend on the moon appearance.
