Principal Secretary Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Mrs. Rashmi Arun Shami on Thursday reviewed the preparations for the procurement of wheat on the minimum support price from Sagar and Shahdol division commissioner and collectors from video conferencing. He said that good quality wheat should be acquired from farmers. Also pay the procured wheat on time. It is worth mentioning that during the review of wheat procurement, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput had given instructions to review the preparations district -wise.

Mrs. Shami said that ensure providing all the necessary facilities for the farmers in the procurement centers. Make farmers aware to register for wheat procurement. He talked to the divisional commissioner and the collectors of the districts and inquired about the preparations made for wheat procurement. So far, more than 3 lakh farmers have registered for wheat procurement. Mrs. Shami informed that pending payments of the warehouse will also be made soon. He also instructed to conduct e-KYC of the beneficiaries who received ration from fair price shops. He informed that farmers can register by 31 March for earning wheat. Wheat will be procured from March 1 to April 18 in Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal and Narmadapuram divisions. Wheat will be procured from 17 March to 5 May in the remaining divisions.

Director Food Shri Karmaveer Sharma said that the transport of earned wheat should be done soon. Make proper arrangements for storage of wheat. Micro planning of procurement centers. Keep in mind that farmers have no difficulty in procurement centers. Get verified workers registered on the e -ram portal. Physical verification of the stock of fair price shops in 7 days. Put the duty of the officials concerned for monitoring the procurement works. Arrange for adequate gunny bags in procurement centers.

MD Civil Supplies Corporation Mr. Anurag Verma insisted on the registration of farmers. He reviewed the paddy milling and instructed to complete the work on time. Mr. Verma instructed to send pending transport bills soon. He said that the payment proceedings will be done soon. District Collectors gave information about preparations related to wheat procurement.
